		Gigants Rugby Club,Novelda 0-65 Denia Rugby Club   After four weeks which saw very little in the way of exercise, Denia were quickly into League action as the away game against Novelda was brought forward a week. Novelda are currently playing their "home" matches in Alicante on the artificial pitch of Akra. Its not a great surface to play rugby on but at least the sun was shining ! Denia had the best possible start putting training ground routines into match situations to score four tries in the first 11 minutes, but as is often the case after such a start, individual desires then took over resulting in several unforced errors and allowing Novelda back into the match. Error after error saw Novelda spend a good 20 minutes in the Denia half but solid defence kept the home side from scoring. Two late tries restored some respectability to Denia's game for a 36-0 half time lead. The second half saw Denia largely dominant, although Novelda did have some opportunites but again Denia defended well. The vistiors made several changes and added five second half tries for a comfortable 65-0 victory. In all a decent performance against a new side who are gradually getting better. Denia's tries came from Gevino (4), Andy (3), Giuliani (2) and Tony (2) with Eddie having an off day with the boot adding only five convertions. Denia's next League match is not until the end of January but some friendlies are planned. Please see the website for details.
